1) The ordered pairs (-50, -24) and (20, 4) lie on a line. Calculate the slope between them, algebraically find the y-intercept, then write the equation of the line in slope-intercept form. Then draw the graph of the line.
2) Rewrite 9 - 3y = 6x in slope-intercept form. Identify the slope and the y-intercept, and draw the graph of the line.
3) Suppose you have a square whose perimeter is 64cm. Inside of the square you have a half-circle whose diameter is 10cm. Draw a sketch of this. Find out what area would be left if you cut the half-circle out of the square.
